Dog Park Passes

All dogs using the Ankeny Dog Park must wear an annual permit tag on their collar. Passes are sold at the Ankeny Parks & Recreation office (210 S. Ankeny Blvd., 963-3570) or City Hall (410 W. 1st St., 965-6400). The cost is $25 per dog for residents and $35 per dog for non-residents. 2011 tags are valid through December. 2012 Passes are on sale now. If you purchase one before March 1, 2012, you can save $5.

All Ankeny resident season pass holders must also have their dogs licensed through the City. The license fee is $10 per animal and can be purchased in conjunction with a dog park pass. A proof of current rabies vaccination is needed to obtain the license. If you are a non-resident purchasing a dog park pass, you must show proof of current rabies vaccination in your respective city or county.
