ART for the DOG PARK raises $600!

More than 100 dog lovers painted pottery, strung beads and fused glass at Creative Treasures' "ART for the DOG PARK " event, raising $600 for the Ankeny Dog Park .

"We had a great turnout," said Creative Treasures owner Sheree Menadue. "The response was so positive - we hope to do it again."

In November the Ankeny City Council officially endorsed the Ankeny Dog Park project and the formation of a public-private partnership between the City of Ankeny and the Ankeny Dog Park Task Force for the future construction of a dog park. Possible locations are currently being explored. In the past year, more than 3,000 signatures supporting the dog park have been collected.
